This Worked on the OTHER Blog...

This is so I remember to do this.

Hi,

My name is Caitlin Smith. I am still awesome. No, really, I'm seriously awesome. Ask people. They know.

I will work hard for you IF:
you are an arts-affiliated organization that I can respect
you treat me with respect
you pay me what I deserve to make for the work I do!

I am on the market for full time employment and must be hired before June or else I will very likely end up running to Canada to escape my incredibly large student loan bills and/or mental breakdown from my current job. Canada or Switzerland, I haven't really decided yet. Both have crepes and chocolate...

I love the arts and being a part of them. I almost tried NON-arts jobs, and found myself hyperventilating and caged at just the 10 minute interview.

Now, not all arts organizations are alike in respectitude (meaning deserving of my respect). Do you care about your art or education over money? Is your product considered respectable art? Do you know at all what you are doing or presenting? Will you care for your underlings? A lot of questions, I know, but vital.

I need my nights and weekends free for the most part so's I can get my acting SKIILLLS on. Or my designing Skilllls. Or my apprentice Ssskkiillls. My SKIIILllsiikilllls need to be nurtured, and I need to meet people in the theatre field so I can continue to work in it. Please don't hamper me. I can be pretty flexible. (That's not sexual). And understand that I can be a workaholic under the right circumstances and will work hard for you.

I also only travel by metro or metro bus for now. If you are not near a metro or metro bus, please move closer to one.

I'm looking for at least $25K per year. That's not so bad, now is it?

I've worked in customer service as a Box Office representative for 5(!) different theatres (not including volunteer work for others), in sales, and as an educator.

You can use me! I know you can.

Thanks,
CSmith
