Hello!
So adventures have been a little less frequent lately. Because since Inspector General's closing on Feb 28, I haven't been working in Theatre. My life was consumed by the Birthday - but my evenings and weekends were, for the most part, free.
I've seen a shitton of shows (which I'm happy about - I love seeing theatre) and enjoyed most of it. Also, Alie and I invented MOVIE TUESDAY and between that, my upgraded netflix account, and alternate social outings with Reichelt and John and Andrew, I've seen pretty much everything there is to see...
UNTIL NOW: Angels & Demons opens this Thursday - need to see it v. soon.
I am still excited for other movies, like Up, Land of the Lost, and Harry Potter VI (obvi), but that doesn't help me this week!
Um, but HULU is taking over my life (as in: I discovered Queue and was lost for 2 days. Firefly and Dr. Horrible are both there in their entirety. Excellent.
So, in summary, this break from theatre has not been unwelcome. I am a little concerned about next fall, and I'ma stick to my vow that I will not be a non-actor for anyone anymore (except Longacre Lea). Am I late to the game on self-promotion? Probably. I should stop waiting on theatres to announce their season to tell them how awesome I am.
HOWEVER - old news, Arena Stage asked me to be an Acting Apprentice for their show Legacy of Light but rehearsals started right away (day after Birthday) and were daytime - and Bob just put the kibosh on daytime rehearsals for us. Poo. But oh well, as Haney said, at least I won't be moving furniture for 7 weeks (and that's what it would have been - a non-speaking role in the show, moving set pieces.)
AND Andrew and I have set a date for the wedding! July 11, 2010. We're touring the location on June 4, and then we can get down to business!
Yays.
