Melissa Made Me Think

I am ISFJ, in Jungian, and honestly after reading the profile... I know it's true and is pretty much the root of ALL MY TROUBLES!

http://typelogic.com/isfj.html

ISFJs are characterized above all by their desire to serve others, their "need to be needed." In extreme cases, this need is so strong that standard give-and-take relationships are deeply unsatisfying to them;

Ummm... how else do you explain my getting caught up in 3 jobs, and 2 shows ALL AT THE SAME TIME!? I don't know...

ISFJs are often unappreciated, at work, home, and play. Ironically, because they prove over and over that they can be relied on for their loyalty and unstinting, high-quality work, those around them often take them for granted--even take advantage of them. Admittedly, the problem is sometimes aggravated by the ISFJs themselves; for instance, they are notoriously bad at delegating ("If you want it done right, do it yourself"). And although they're hurt by being treated like doormats, they are often unwilling to toot their own horns about their accomplishments because they feel that although they deserve more credit than they're getting, it's somehow wrong to want any sort of reward for doing work.

Si. I am like this. I have been told time and again that I am a "good worker" and only recently have I slipped so badly (hatred for the workplace) that someone has taken notice and called me out. I almost never get told "good job" (hence my euphoria whenever someone does), even at acting. I'm consistent and thoughtful, but I blend right in.

In the workplace, ISFJs are methodical and accurate workers, often with very good memories and unexpected analytic abilities; they are also good with people in small-because of their patient and genuinely sympathetic approach to dealing with others. ISFJs make pleasant and reliable co-workers and exemplary employees. They are capable of forming strong loyalties, but these are personal rather than institutional loyalties.

Yes. I get SO emotionally attached to jobs I love because of the people. I cried when I told Matt I would have to leave the Folger last summer. Because I loved the job, because I loved working with him and Barbara. Telling Barbara was that much harder. I think it was also because I felt like a disappointment. And I'm so emotionally attached to WSC now, that I get VERY defensive when anyone talks about their shortcomings (no matter how right they are).

Also: I am a PISCES
The Astrological Symbol of Pisces is the Pair of Fishes. They reflect the dual nature of life; each Fish swims in different directions, representing reality and nonreality, consciousness and the unconscious. On the other hand, they can be indirect and unfocused. Pisces is charitable and self-sacrificing, but may sometimes be too passive and gullible for their own good.
Pisces is more focused on compassion and service than knowledge. When Neptune was discovered, modern astrologers assigned it to be the ruler of Pisces. Neptune is about everything that isn't quite real: illusion and disillusionment, fantasy, drama and art, and spirituality. All of these things are important to people born under Pisces; they tend to be strongly spiritual (not necessarily religious) and artistic. They are idealistic, but sometimes their dreams are vague and impractical. When reality intrudes they can become pessimistic or lethargic, but they are very adaptive and broad-minded so they can rework their ideals when necessary.
The Element associated with Pisces is Water. Water Signs are emotional: they tend to respond to the world through emotion, rather than physical action, practicality, or intellect. Pisceans are compassionate, sensitive, and imaginative; they are sympathetic to the feelings of other people. They tend to be romantic and sentimental, but they may give in to escapism. They are devoted to their goals, but they can be disorganized or procrastinate when things become difficult. People born under Pisces are devoted and gentle, but they are fragile and may become timid if their emotions are abused too often.
Pisceans tend to be shy and quiet. They are sometimes elusive, refusing to show their real selves. They are modest and thoughtful. Because Pisces rules the twelfth House, which rules dreams, people born under this Sign may be fascinated with dreams and dream interpretation.

In their leisure time, Pisces may work to alleviate their emotional stress through exercise. They especially enjoy sports that bring them into contact with their own Element of Water, such as swimming and sailing. They are very artistic, and may excel at music and drama. In love relationships, Pisces is caring, devoted, and romantic.
Pisces rules the feet. People born under Pisces may be more susceptible to sore and swollen feet than people of other Signs. Pisces's colors are white and purple.
The great strength of the Pisces-born is in their compassion. They reach out to other people more skillfully than most other Signs, and especially enjoy helping others reach their fullest potential. Their natural sensitivity makes them one of the most understanding characters of the Zodiac.

Now you know... I is sensitive. Treat me gentle-like.
