I'm in the Tunnel

Happy Friday the 13th!!!

True to form, WMATA celebrated in the usual fashion:
"Ladies and gentlemen, this train has been instructed to hold [at Silver Spring] due to a fire at Metro Center."
"Ladies and gentlemen, this train will turn around AT Rhode Island Avenue due to a power outage at Dupont Circle."
"Ladies and gentlemen, it is FRIDAY, june 13TH. Sorry for the delay."

Meanwhile, on the job front...
WSC loves me (I think they do... Karen loves me anyway), and Folger loves me (and by Folger, I mean Barbara).
Both have put the possibility out there that by the end of the summer Full Time Positions might be available to ME.

Specifically: WSC's got a new Development Director, and he's so awesome and the Board is being scared straight that we might actually have enough money to go FT with Bennies. After my day at Clark Street on Wed, that would be effing fantastic for me.

Somewhat LESS specifically: Barbara asked me, confidentially, what my pay is here at STC, and hinted that around August/September there would be many opportunities for me.

I can't COUNT on either, but it does pause the frenzy of my search. I'm doing much better now that it's not winter. And as long as I'm not abused too often I might be ok at STC. Now depending on what the pay IS at either, I'll probably still need to PT one or the other for my loans. I did the math. If It was just ONE full time job, I would be alright no problem. The fact that I have so MUCH in loans forces me to have 2, even 3 jobs.

So, you know. There's that.

We had a full run of the show last night. I love this show, I honestly do. I just hope I'm being consistent. I noticed last night that my face goes through this cycle of emotions. And I don't HONESTLY know why I say "I don't understand" although I have an idea but it's not coming out how I want it to and I'm so confused sometimes...
sigh.
