Ah, Isn't it Nice to Know that Hardcore Conservative Ignoramuses Can Still Be Scared Off?

Actual Quote from today's Exchange Pile:

"My wife and I are celebrating our 58th anniversary on September 16th. We were looking forward to traveling 300 miles to see "Romeo and Juliet" in remembrance of our undying love. Now we learn that it's become "Romeo and Romeo." Thanks, but no thanks, to our renewing our subscription next year. Further, we have a case against you for false advertising, and feel entitled to a full refund of our subscription, because we can't anticipate your future surprises, and can't afford to continue funding your nonsense."

After laughing uproariously for about 5 minutes, we recalled that this is not the first conservative ignorant reaction we've had to the Elizabethan All-Male Romeo & Juliet. There are more...

"This concept is just STUPID."
"So, what, is this some sort of GAY Shakespeare?"
"You should be ashamed."

Yep. I feel so ashamed that the theatre I work for is open minded enough to try concepts and stagings that challenge the perceptions and minds of its audience instead of just putting another well-spoken girl in a pretty dress and saying "GO!" I'm actually proud of this, even though it's a little gimmicky, because it's outside the expected realm our audience is used to.

So congrats, ignorants, your complaints are getting you nowhere but at the bottom of my concern-pile. No one cares that you're an idiot. Thanks.
