Come celebrate at the Folger Shakespeare Library on April 26th, 2009 from 12pm to 4pm. Tour the Reading Room (normally closed to the public)! There are opportunities to get up onstage and speak some Shakespearean verse for the masses! Take in as many shows as you like! We'll have sword swallowing, stage combat, madrigals, Bill's Buddies, Dancing, visits to Mrs. Shakespeare and, best of all A FASHION SHOW!
Dress as your favorite Shakespearean character, or as his next-door-neighbor if you like, and show it off at 3:00pm in our Outdoor Renaissance Runway, which is right before the FREE CAKE is handed out to the throngs of men, women, and children enjoying a day dedicated to the Bard's Big 445th!
