Well,
Private Sale at STC has begun. Which means that subscribers can call us up this week to change dates, buy extra tickets, or just bitch to their hearts' content.
Luckily it's mostly just been the first two things.
Today, I am alone at Harman with one Supervisor, and there is ONE other associate at the Lansburgh with one supervisor. Dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb. Everyone else called out. DUMB!
But I had an interview at Folger yesterday, preliminary, and I had fun. I think it went well. Definitely felt the love vibe, unlike the time I interviewed for Registrar and felt mixed vibes. I have to wait until the Director of Education comes back from vacation in a couple of weeks for my second interview.
AND
I'm in a show!!! With a different company!!! That I earned through my own merits and not just because I work for the company because I don't work for the company and not that anyone who does doesn't have merits but this is my first show in Professional Theatre NOT at WSC, where I work.
Whew.
So I'm 4 people: Constable Blastoff, Chief of Police, The Locksmith's Wife (who has an AWESOME monologue in Act 4), and Boskedin's Wife. I am SUPER excited! I actually auditioned, was a "definitely yes," and get to play characters!!!
Speaking of Character Acting: I saw Sarah Marshall in Maria/Stuart at Woolly on Monday, and she is my new goddess. BLASPHEMY IS OK!!! She was AMAZING! Not that the rest of teh cast wasn't, but I did feel kinda bad for them once in awhile having to try to match her energy and charisma... which they couldn't. Great play, though, too! Very engaging. And we were a very good audience!
Ummmm, damnit the phone rings... bye!
